Rockland Cider Works was born on Van Houten Farms in Rockland County, NY. The cidery was created with the vision of allowing our bustling farm & garden center to reach its full potential. Van Houten Farms has been a community staple since 1946. By adding a farm cidery, we were able to stay viable and relevant in an area where family-owned farms are becoming extinct. Our cider making talents and beautiful outdoor farm spaces came together like a match made in heaven.

At Rockland Cider Works, our mission is to create a laidback and fun atmosphere that pays homage to NY agriculture. We are committed to producing authentic hard cider and providing the perfect environment to create lasting memories.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, leashed and well-behaved dogs are welcome at both locations.

Are you family friendly?

Yes. While we always have a relaxed family-friendly atmosphere, our target audience is adults over 21.

Other than cider, what beverages do you have?

We sell NYS produced beer, wine, and signature cocktails using NYS produced spirits as well as N.A. options, see drinks *Cocktails at Gilboa location only

Do you serve food?

We sell a selection of cheese and meats, and frequently have food trucks on premise. Check out our entertainment schedule for food truck listings.

We allow outside food if we are not having an organized event. 

Do you need a reservation?

No. *For large groups or special events, please reach out to make sure we can accommodate you.

What is your outdoor space like?

Gilboa: Our tasting bar is located under an expansive pavilion with beautiful mountain views. Please enjoy our outdoor space! We are committed to providing an environment that creates lasting enjoyable memories.

Pearl River: “The Tollhouse” is our unique little taproom located in our expansive garden center amongst annual & perennial flower displays. We also have a retail shop located inside our Farm Market which is open for your shopping convenience.
