Hailing from the picturesque Catskills mountains, McCarthy is an independent American roots musician whose unique sound is shaped by his diverse influences from the rich pan-American roots music heritage. Born in South America, he infuses early country, bluegrass, delta blues, traditional folk, 70s jam, Bolivian folklore, and even elements of thrash metal on his electrified steel string acoustic guitar.
